With in-depth technical knowledge of a variety of programming languages and software, I am looking to use my current skillset to secure a permanent role within software development or gameplay scripting.  I am a hardworking and motivated individual and I am currently on track for a 1st class degree.  I have gained leadership, communication and team-work skills from my placement year as well as my university modules that involved group project work.

Work History 

 

Caterpillar June 2019 – September 2020 

Business Systems Analyst – Placement Year 

 

  • Working as part of the QAD team, collaborated with the global organisation and its subsidiaries to implement enhancements and solve issues with the ERP system for their local business.  

  • Ensured I fully understood the end to end process of a business task before offering a solution. 

  • Led UAT to ensure a successful implementation.  

 

Achievements  

 

  • Had my contract extended when my placement year was finished for 3 months as I was an integral part of a large implementation that once live would save the business $4 million annually. 

  • Successfully migrated the IT departments files to a cloud solution, simplifying their process and improving their quality control of documents.  

  • Was able to adapt to working from home during the pandemic, I used technology more to successfully collaborate with my team and key stakeholders ensuring deadlines were still met.  

  • Was trusted with additional work outside of my scope including developing smaller Unix Scripts for projects.

Represent the university on open days, guided tours, graduation events and other public events.

Anglia Ruskin University Course Representative 2018 – 2019  

 

  • Speak with students on Computer Game Technology course, gathering feedback and suggestions and representing their views at student and staff liaison committee meetings.   

  • Work with students and staff to find solutions to problems, feeding back outcomes to student body.  

 

Young Leader – The Scout Association 2013 – 2017 

 

  • Worked with Cubs (Age 8 – 10) on a weekly basis.  

  • Planned, organised and ran activities for Cubs on a section night. 

  • Worked with Cub Leaders to plan activities and Events on a termly basis. 

  • Helped to organise and assist at camps. 

  • As part of a team of 2 Young Leaders cooked for 80 people for a weekend district camp. 

 

Occasional Helper – The Scout Association 2017 to date 

 

  • At 18 went through DBS Screening so could help out with group camps / events during university breaks.  

  • Planned menu for weekend family camp and took responsibility for ensuring everyone was fed on time! 

  • Helped to plan and organise “Frosty Camp 2018”. 

 

National Citizen Service – Summer 2015 

 

  • Took part in the NCS Scheme, learning new skills and having the opportunity for Social Action. 

  • Worked as an ambassador for a Charity called Charity Link working as part of a team to raise awareness and funds for a local charity that tackled poverty in the area.  

 

 

Achievements  

 

  • Working towards Black Belt in GKR Karate and TUK Tae Kwon Do. 

  • Chief Scouts Platinum Award – Completed all the requirements for the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award plus additional requirements to cover community and international requirements.
